Interior Designer Post -Contract

Job Role

The ideal candidate has solid site experience, understands construction realities, and is confident coordinating with consultants, contractors, and suppliers to ensure design intent is fully executed on site.

This role requires someone proactive, solution-driven, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with demanding quality standards.


  • Post-Contract & Site Coordination
    •Represent the design team on site during construction phase
    •Ensure design intent is properly implemented
    •Attend site meetings and technical coordination meetings
    •Review site progress against issued IFC drawings
    •Respond to contractor RFIs in coordination with senior designers
    •Conduct regular site inspections and issue site reports


  • Shop Drawing & Submittal Review
    •Review and comment on contractor shop drawings
    •Review material submittals, mock-ups, and samples
    •Ensure compliance with design intent, specifications, and approved drawings
    •Coordinate with MEP and structural consultants to resolve clashes affecting interiors


  • Technical Resolution
    •Develop site details when required
    •Resolve technical issues arising during construction
    •Provide quick and practical solutions without compromising design integrity
    •Assist in value engineering exercises where necessary


  • Documentation & Drawing Updates
    •Issue sketches, revised details, and clarification drawings
    •Track design changes and maintain updated drawing registers
    •Support preparation of As-Built documentation
    •Ensure all changes are documented and approved formally


  • Material & FF&E Coordination
    •Coordinate with suppliers for material approvals

    •Verify finishes installed on site match approved samples

    •Supervise custom joinery and bespoke elements

    •Support installation of FF&E where required


  • Quality Control
    •Monitor execution quality
    •Identify deviations from design intent
    •Proactively flag risks to timeline or quality
    •Ensure high-end finish standards are maintained

Background & Skills:


  • 5–8+ years experience in Interior Design

  • Minimum 3 years post-contract/site experience

  • Experience in luxury hospitality, high-end residential, or cultural projects

  • Strong technical detailing knowledge

  • Excellent understanding of joinery and finishing materials

  • Ability to read and review architectural, MEP, and structural drawings

  • Experience dealing with contractors in the Middle East

  • Strong problem-solving skills
